Contrary to the humid and tropical environment opinion, Rothenbach Park is a place whether it’s a steamy morning after an early rainstorm, or the sunset of a long hard day, the park just provides such a backdrop of serenity.

As I was walking today and accomplished a 3 mile stroll, the dew and rays of sun dropping through the high canopy Oaks was just like a scene from a prehistoric rainforest. This Sarasota park is not as well-known as I thought it was when talking to many locals. I prefer to park on the furthest spot as to get under the shade of the oaks and natural Florida brush. The trail meanders some 2 miles without taking in the sun intensity. Get out there and explore this wonderful asset we have in East County Sarasota.
